The last thread left me with a ? about temp to walk a dog.

My dog is from New Orleans, he has been with us for about 2 months. Do you think he need to adjust to our cold temperatures? I walk him 30-45 min most days. He seems to enjoy the walks. Never really thought about temperature change.

Thanks for any imput.

If he seems happy, I'll bet he's fine. As long as he's not shivering or anything, he's likely enjoying it.

Sounds like he lives indoors and you just take him on short walks...does he act cold at all? Just pay attention to his body language and you should be fine. I really don't know where you are, or how cold it is there, or anything like that.

I agree to FriendsOfZoe's input.
If he feels comfortable walking in the cold and has no issues,
then your good to go! My poodle could careless with the cold but she hates the summer time.
So during the summertime, I'm more careful with her when walking to make sure she dosen't overheat.
She's great in the winter and I make sure she dosen't get too cold during or after our walks!!

I live in New England and it's pretty cold. I do take him for his walks but he is indoors most of the time. He doesn't shiver or anything and seems quite happy.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll keep an eye on him as the temperatures get even colder.
