Biting and barking

I posted a while back about my puppy biting and barking, and you all suggested more exercise. Now we are getting a full hour in every day of just walking, which she is great at, and I also play with her from the time I get home until I go to bed except when making dinner. She is much more worn out, but still we have some issues.

She is exactly 3 months and really has no control over biting and barking.

I tried the "no bite" thing and it's really hard to do because I'll remove my hand and try to get up and leave, but she grabs onto my pants leg. I'm 6 months pregnant so getting up is slow for me as it is, and then she's grabbing on to anything she can so I physically can not leave the room, but I try. I do say no loud though.

What should I try next? She barks all the time.

Re: Biting and barking

don't leave the room, just ignore her. when puppies are playing and one gets out of hand, the game ends. when you get up to leave, your puppy thinks the game has turned into chase.

you can try shaking a can of pennies when she barks, if that doesn't work I've found a spray bottle to be very effective. you should start teaching her the "quiet" command now as well.

I agree with all of the above.
One of my dogs had this behavior until she turned about 10mos old. From what I've been told, puppy's that constantly bite have been taken from their mom's too early. Just keep doing all of the above. It will stop once puppy grows more.
