I had to put my spencer too sleep last tuesday after 9 months of joint and bone disease. this dog was my everything I work from home so we were together pretty much 24/7. I'm a loner so spencer was pretty much all I had. It was very difficult putting him too sleep. I had too choose ending his pain or keeping him alive just to fill the voids in my life. looking into his sad eyes i had no choice..

we also just put down our dog, she's been in pain for over a year, and today was the worst we have ever seen, it was time...my heart is just breaking, but you are right, they don't need to be in pain just to "fill our void"...wishing you the best...
