Farewell, my heart dog

I remember for a long time I was searching for the one whom I would come to live my life with, and finding a picture of you in my e-mail.

I remember driving 12 hours to get just you. I remember when we met, I knew you were the one for me to spend life with.

I was so excited that I finally had you in my life, and immediately took you to Lake Tahoe with me so we could begin our new life together.

We went through forests,

And golden fields,

I was so happy to have been blessed with your presence in my life,

And to share my home with you,

And go to new places together with only you.

We got to share our lives with many other kindred,

But in truth, to me... you were the one on top of my world watching over us all.

When I got you, you were such a struggle that when you finally bloomed, I was overjoyed, and every passing day watching just you was a joy for me.

We still went to many places..

And passed many relaxing sunsets together in serenity.

I thought that it was time for us to share our lives with more kindred, and so I got a brother for just you.

Even when you got a little dirty, I still loved watching you so full of life.

When all else tells me you did not care, the little things you do reminded me how wonderful you are.

You were a wonderful big brother to your little sister.

The family grew bigger and bigger, but you always were the one my heart wandered to every day. You were the one who slept next to me on my bed, who followed me around, slept under my chair, and was always ready to have fun with me.

It was a little too early and that is my regret.

But you certainly left deep prints in my heart. I'm sorry you went on ahead of me, but if you'd just wait a little while I will come find you, and together we will live the rest of eternity with our family.

What a beautiful tribute to such a beautiful dog.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Ry. Your life made his complete, even as his did the same for yours...such love is rare and I hope one day you will be able to remember his time with you with joy instead of sorrow.

Rest in peace, Ollie...you will be truly missed.

Oh no. R, Im so very sorry for your loss. I cant believe he is gone...I am shocked. I remember when you posted about how he came to you when you called him in a big dog park. Rest in peace Ollie, run free at the rainbow bridge.

R, I can't even find the words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss.

That hole in your heart that is now filled with grief and sorrow, will never go away, but slowly, the happy memories will find their way there. Ollie will live forever in your heart.

I'm sure Ollie knew how much you loved him and I know he will be waiting....

R, that was one of the most beautiful tributes I've ever read. No one can doubt Ollie was so very special to you. I wish for you some comfort from Kobe and Pris and that they hold you close while you all grieve for Ollie. Take care R and you know where to find us all should you need a shoulder.

I have always looked forward to your posts of Ollie. His magnificant beauty was a site to see. His stories have always had me giggling and laughing out loud. The places you and him traveled just to be with each other and share with us. I am totally grateful to have gotten to know you both.

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful dog. I truly hope to give Marley as good as a life as and as strong as a bond that you clearly had with Ollie. My heart goes out to you as we all know you didnt just lose a dog, you lost a dear friend and a part of your family. You have many shoulders to lean on here should you need it.
