[Misty's mom]

Hi,
I just wanted everyone who offered advice and love and prayers to know that Misty died yesterday in my arms. She fought for so long and so hard that her little body could not do it anymore. It is with so much despair and sadness that I say I know she is in a better place now. She can finally be a "dog" again with no special food or medicine or shots or tests - she is running and playing, eating and sleeping - most of all she is watching over my daughter and me from up above. I miss her so much that it actually "hurts" and my daughter is devestated beyond belief... This is the 2nd dog she has lost in her her short 7 years on this earth and she is such a loving animal person that it breaks my heart to see her so upset. I wish I could take the pain away and even more I wish I could have Misty here with us - but healthy and happy....but those wishes are not to be... So with love and faith and lots of wonderful memories we will move foward into the next chapter in our lives.
For everyone out there reading this - please hug your loved ones furry and otherwise and love them while they are here because the time is fleeting and when they are gone there are no more hugs.

Awww, I'm so, so sorry. I was really pulling for her and you tried SO hard. At least you can rest easy, knowing that you did ALL you could, and that she's in no pain any longer. Give your daughter a hug for me and tell her it's from another dog lover grieving with her.

I'm so sorry. My thoughts are with you. I don't know the whole situation but from what you've said, it seems like it may have been Misty's time, at least Misty won't be hurting anymore.

Thank you all for your loving thoughts and well wishes that were/are sent to us. We are taking it one day at time still and as sad as we are still - there is a peace within my heart now that tells me everyday that Misty is all better now - just in heaven! I feel her presence with me and I know she is "helping" me with helping my daughter to understand. We were lucky to have loved her and had her part of our lives for her 3 1/2 short years... She will always hold a special place in my heart...

I am so sorry about the loss of little Misty. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet--keep your love alive in your heart. I pray for both you and your daughter.
