we decided to put him to sleep last year because he was having problems getting up and it got to the point when he could no longer stand up, this and his heart wasnt too good and he couldnt breath properly.



However i am picking up a puppy next Friday, a yellow labrador.

I know how it feels, matthewa...lost my boy in August and it is very difficult. He looked like a real sweetheart. THough your memories of Sam will never go away, your new puppy will bring you joy, and you can give him a great long life just as you did for Sam.

Oh, and make sure we see pictures of this new little one when you get him, too!!

I have a soft spot for big, black dogs, and yours looks like a handsome boy. I am sorry for your loss.
