RIP Zeus

Well, sad day in our home today. We had to put our good friend Zeus to sleep I have been dog sitting for a friend while they are on vacation since November and we just recently found out he has malignant Melanoma on his back side, and foot, and a tumor on his prostate. He was 12 years old yesterday, and his brother is here with us too, who is 11. Zeus has just not been himself since Christmas eve, so we thought it best to not let him suffer anymore. He could have had a toe amputated, but there still would have been the tumor and other melanoma, so it wouldn't have been much help. His Mom came back to be here for the euthinization (sp?) and his "Dad" who raised him from a puppy. It was hard for us all, but we know he is in a better place chasing cats and balls. We buried him in our little pet cemetary with our other loved animals, so he will not be alone. His brother got to say goodbye too, and I don't know if he "knows", but I am sure he will be missed. Anyway, here is a picture of them both. Zeus is the Rotty/Chow mix and his brother Murphy is the Golden Retriever.

Re: RIP Zeus

Shell, Sorry for your loss...You should be very proud of yourself for not allowing him to suffer. That is the greatest thing to set all your feelings aside to make things right for Zeus, RIP Zues and hugs to you shell.
