Yesterday I got a terrible message from my friend that her dog Brownie got run over by a truck. My friend had Brownie for more than a year. Her family saved him because he was homeless and had burn marks all over his body from his previous owner. When they got him he smelt like gasoline and was all dirty. Her father would walk with him in the mornings and evenings and her mother would feed him delicious human treats. He was such a great dog, when i would come over he would sit next to me calmly, and look at me with his big brown eyes. I was also planning on my dog Winston to meet him when he got a little bit older since my dog is still a puppy and doesn't know any better. Yesterday Brownie was tied to the staircase in front of the house when he saw someone else walking with their dog and started running over to them. He pulled so hard that the leash broke. The truck driver was speeding and didn't even stop after he ran Brownie over. Her father said that brownie was even dragged a couple of feet and splattered all over. I feel bad for her and I wish there was something I could do. God bless Brownie.
