There is also the option in "thread tools" at the top of each thread, which allows you to subscribe to a thread without posting in it. Then you can be notified whenever a new post is made (in the control panel and by email if you choose), and it is listed in your "subscribed threads" in the control panel so you can refer back to it easily.
I bookmarked a thread on another site a couple of years ago and it still works. Just use you ''Bookmark this page''feature.
I don't understand what you're saying. I know on another forum there is a "bookmark this thread" option at the top of the thread that I can click on and it goes to my bookmarked folder.
I don't really want to subscribe to threads cause I don't want all the emails.
Can I subscribe to a thread and not get an email everytime someone posts on it?????

I am using a variant of Foxfire. At the very top of my browser page I have several drop down menus. One is bookmarks. If I click on it I get a few options plus a list of all my bookmarks. The first option is Bookmark this page. All I have to do is open a page, click on bookmarks and then click on bookmark this page. Other browsers I have used have a similar feature.
