a lot of the drama on DF seems to revolve around training.

a theoretical solution:

General Dog Training Forum with..

potential subforums: R+ Forum, R- Forum, P+ Forum, P- Forum

Discussion to be relegated to each relevant forum.

its just a thought I thunk.

I fear that would entice people like me to rock the boat with clear and defined targets. I learned long ago to skip past most of the discussions here. While always a great read, my opinions are best kept to myself.

Nice suggestion, though considering DF membership I think the forums would be slightly imbalanced in terms of activity.

I very much disagree with the notion of an OP prequalifying responses. It's too much like saying, "Here's what I think and only want to hear from people who agree with me" That's not the way a forum works.

The way I Wade through the forum is to select New Posts and go through topic titles that sound interesting. For me, and I suspect for many others, a descriptive topic title is much more useful than a segmented system of sub-forums and sub- sub- forums.
