Ok, I'm game.
My name is Ann, I'm 26 years old, and as I sit here typing this I'm drinking chocolate milk through a Cocoa Krispies Cereal Straw. That should give you an idea of what I am..... a full time MOM.

I have two kids, Crystal is 6 and Landon is 9.
I live on the Gulf Coast, in what I like to call Ground Zero. Katrina wiped us out, but hey, life goes on. We are rebuilding, and alive, and that is all that matters.
I married young, mothered young, divorced young, and have been engaged for 6 years. I am the epitome of gun shy.
I'm soon to be a college student. I'm still fighting with myself between getting my RN or being a Vet Tech. I like animals better than people, so Vet Tech is looking really good right now.
I always had dogs growing up, along with numerous other pets, cats, gerbils, hamsters, fish, ferrets, rabbits, etc. But I was always taught that animals are disposable. If one died, you could another for free from the newspaper. So I didn't bond very deeply with any of my animals.
Until Bear.
He was a stray puppy I found on the side of the road, eaten up with sarcoptic mange and half starved. He had a broken leg and looked destined for death at any moment. My mom refused to take him home, and I proceeded to cry for the next hour, until she went back and got him. (Did I mention I'm also a very spoiled, adopted, only child?

) My dad raised a fit, being one of the many "breedists" in my life, and refused to have him, since he was a Chow mix. Again I cried.
And thus, Bear became my best friend for 8 years, until he was hit by a car. I never got over him, and didn't have a dog of my own until just recently, when I got my sweet baby Piglet. She is a five month old mixed breed I call my BullyRott. She came from a long line of accidental litters and BYBs, but I love her like she was a Champion. I consider her a rescue of sorts, since she was "pound bound". But the littering ends here. We are spaying her very soon.
I'm also mommy to a ferret named Slinky and a cat named Jeff.
As for my personality, I'm laid back, easy to get along with, and a born mediator. I referee all day, so I'm good at it. I like to make people happy and I get my feelings hurt very easily. I'm here to educate myself on the best way to care for my dog, since I was never shown how growing up. So far, I've been very educated, and I like the people here.
I also don't know when to shut up.
That's about it. Anything else, just ask.
