can you recall PMs?

I had an e-mail saying that someone sent me a PM. But I don't have any new PMs. Can they be recalled/deleted?

Like emails, they are irretrievable, and the only one that can delete them from your inbox is you.

Weird. I'll have to go into my deleted folder and see what the Dog Forums e-mail is about. I just deleted it without really looking but I assumed it was a PM notification.

Edit: nevermind, it was a reply to a subscribed thread. Which is odd because I never subscribe to threads

You mean e-mail subscription? Goodness, it would make me crazy if I got e-mails on every thread I posted in. No, I disabled that feature. I don't know how I got on that thread's e-mail list. But I deleted the subscription so I'm not getting them anymore.
