Thanks, MRC.

BTW, you need to scale down your signature. It's about twice the legal size.

Re: Rep points and comments...

RonE, are you serious or you're jerkin' my chain? LOL

If you're serious, I'll happily resize it. I had no idea there was a "legal limit" (reminds me of alcohol, hehe). I saw a bunch of big sigs on the board, so I just made that one and never thought of the size. Oops! What's the size limit?

500x100...yeah I dint really know ether....I though if it wasn't OK that it wouldn't allow me to post it but apparently it was letting people ....so some of the mods had to go a delete some ..booo...it took me forever to figure out how to get a new one back on....its not very good ether...but I understand why there is a limit

Re: Rep points and comments...

Here is a fun game.

You cant see anyone elses specific rep points, but if you click members list at the top, and then organize by reputation, you can see who is getting good pts, lol.

... and if you click the red number in the replies column, you can see how many posts each participant has in that thread. Sorry, I just found that out a few minutes ago. Now I'm off to go click on everything...

Awww, sorry rosemary, I took the last slice.

I left you happy positive points to make up for it.

ROFL, I'm spreading DF love tonight. Can you feel the love people? Can you??

Everyone starts out with ten points. (For some, it's all downhill from there.)

Green dots are positive points and comments are optional. Red dots are negative points and comments are required (though it's unlikely they will be useful or constructive,) Blue-grey dots are comments from new members whose opinions don't yet count, so they don't add or subtract points.

You can't do rapid-fire positive or negative points for a single member. That would open the door to all kinds of abuse (in a system which is just naturally abusive to begin with.)

You don't know, and moderators don't know, who left the reputation points for you. So, it can be like finding a burning bag of crap on your front porch or a box of fine chocolates. Either way, I'd prefer to know who the donor is.

My consistently humble opinion regarding the interpretation of reputation points is this: If you never, ever get a negative comment, you probably aren't participating much. But if you get a LOT of negative comments, from a variety of sources on a variety of topics, you may want to examine your posting style to see why you're pissing so many people off.

This is, after all, a social, recreational forum and if you never, ever care what people think, they're not going to think much of you at all.

But you shouldn't lose any sleep over the occasional nasty comment. (Even I've had a few. Can you believe it?)
I see the greens, but I see no other colors, where are they??

I think I have ticked off a few here, if I did and it was you always talk to me so I know and we can talk it out!!! The only time I would ever be mean to someone is if I was defending something big. Otherwise I am nice and tame

Yup, same here.

This will require more investigation. MRC is not exactly a newbie here.

I think we should have a "Thank You" button. Another forum I'm on has them, located next to the Quote and quick reply buttons on hte lower right hand side of each post.
