Trouble loading web page

This problem just started happening yesterday. Up until then, everything has been fine.
When I click on the link to this web site, just the top photo/title comes up. It takes several minutes for me to see anything else. Though, eventually the page will load. Then, when I click on any of the posts or forums, that takes several minutes to load. so, navigating around the site takes a long time.

I was wondering if you have any suggestions.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Thought it was just my ancient laptop playing up but every other site loading up fine. Anybody got any ideas why this is happening?

By chance are either of you using Firefox? I'm having the same issue using Firefox, but just with DF.

I'm having the same problem, and it doesn't matter if I use Firefox or Safari. It seems to be the ads loading that slows everything down.

I don't know what firefox is either. But it's happening on my desktop and my laptop both, starting Friday night. On chat Friday night the girls were saying that the site had changed somewhat. Is that what's making it sooooo slow? It's taking me like 10 minutes to load every page and I often get a "unable to locate page" error too.

Although once I get to a page, I can quick reply and edit with no problem.

Same problem, using IE or Firefox, but everything seems to load faster in Firefox.

Same thing for me too.

I do use firefox, and have never had a problem up until yesterday. I refuse to use IE cause this was happening on every site when I did use it.

Im having the same problems using Opera. DF is the only site Im having this loading problem. Just tried it with FireFox, same problems.

I have been having exactly the same problem for the last few days as well. I noticed the slow down when some site changes were occuring(I noticed DF has been updated with new features when you go to your user page).

It took awhile for this thread alone to load so I could also post that I am having a problem.

Sometimes this site doesn't even load, or it gives me a server error.

DF is the only site I am having this issue, all others are loading fast like usual.

I miss my DF!!!!! I'm stuck playing text twist while I'm waiting for it to load!!

JK, although it is extremely annoying. Is everyone having this issue? Or just most of us?

Is there a way to check with the web management company and see what is going on? Can we at least get some sort of estimated time on when it will be fixed?

Thank you!!! Maybe someone can email us with any info since it is so difficult to keep checking back here?

Still having issues too....only now when I tried to get on about an hour ago it kept taking me to Google Images, and just showed me 4 pages of DF users avatar pictures...tried again, took me back to Google Images

Well, off to go keep myself busy, have a feeling this will last awhile. Hopefully, not too long.

I'm having the same problem. All other websites load quickly except this one. Wait time for me is a full 5 minutes. Posting is not affected. Just loading each page

I'm using IE too and it's been going on since yesterday. All other sites I visit are loading just fine.

I don't think the problem is universal. My DF has always loaded a little slower than other sites, but doesn't seem any slower right now than usual.

As a temporary measure, you might try disabling the viewing of avatars and/or images and see what happens.

Disabling avatars, images, and signatures didn't help, but thanks for the suggestion Ron!

DF has always loaded slower for me too, but never THIS slow - there has got to be something wrong. Any word from the web people?

There's definitely an issue that I hope our admin will catch. DF is not fully loading and getting hung-up on the ads.

This has been always a problem since I've joined. But laltely it is slower.
I take that time, make a coffee & come back to it just loading.

ugh, I can't look anymore. I really like DF, but it's way too annoying. I'm staying away for awhile, and hopefully someone will fix this.
