So is everybody happy now? You have an independant chat room?
I've never understood how somebody can feel picked on in a chat room or by private messaging. Both are voluntary.
I worked as a playground director and lifeguard during the summers of my youth. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I personally have no interest in moderating a chatroom or getting involved in PM spats.

Well some people could not get in because their computer does not support javascript. A link within the forum would have been easier. Additionally someone could come in that is not even a member. We had that happen a few times as well. A chat room being linked to the forum would have prevented that. I have been in javescript like forums before and bots show up.. | |

The advantage of a chat,would allow most members to get to know each-other,quicker!. | |

Well the problem with chat rooms on here is that almost everyone is on a differnet time zone and when that topic was popular no one was ever on the chat room and the topic drifted away because no one went to the chat room. Petbrags has a chatroom that is connected to their site called chatango. | |

Unfortunately, only Dave has the power to add such a thing to the forum, and I haven't heard from him in a while. I have actually been proposing an official chat for months.
So for now, everyone who wants to chat will have to either go to that java chat, or get an IRC client and join the chat that way. | |
