| Re: I am sorry but.. I dunno - I've seen a fair share of your threads around recently. I don't think they are as ignored as you perceive them to be...
On the other hand though, this IS a big site. People also usually limit their replies to things they are interested in or things they can specifically contribute too. Since I haven't seen any of your buried topics, I cannot comment on them specifically - but it could be they simply aren't topics of interest at this point in time. |

| Re: I am sorry but.. I reply to post a lot less often than I read them. I don't think I am a particularly knowledgable or clever person, so unless I have something to say that no one else has said before, I'm not going to post a reply.
That doesn't mean I'm not reading and enjoying your posts! |

| Re: I am sorry but.. Since this is the suggestion/feedback forum, Borzoimom, what is your suggestion?
When I log on to dogforums, at least twice-a-day, I go through the new posts and scan for ones that might be interesting or might need some attention. Titles like, "I have a question" get read if I have some time to kill - which is rare.
I read probably a third of the new posts each session and respond to maybe a third of those. I doubt that my reading and posting habits are exceptional, except maybe in the sense that I rarely go for a day without reading and posting at all.
I am always surprised at the members that post something like, "Urgent question - immediate response required!!!" and then disappear for a couple of weeks before checking back in. |

I agree with others, I go look at threads that I have an interest in, or I find I can help the person out.

| Re: I am sorry but.. I can see where you're coming from. I just made a thread a few hours ago and no one has replied..it does get a little irritating, but you can't force people to post on your forum.
I'm not sure there is anything you can do about it. |

Can't force people to read it, but it sucks when they don't, that happens to me a lot, lol.

| Re: I am sorry but.. Happens to me too, there's just so many posts on here. Half the time I'm like, "Damn it! Dog-man has a thread three pages long and I only got two replies!" You need to be more controversial borzoimom, lol.....the sheltie forum I post on is the opposite. It's so slow, I'll post and it'll be at the top for a month. Then someone posted a with a health problem and I said they should see a vet, and I got flamed for being rude. Sorry, guess I should have joined in diagnosing the dog over the internet. Anyway, none of these forums are perfect, this one is my favorite though. |

| Re: I am sorry but.. If I don't have anything to say on a given topic, I'm not going to take my time to post just to say I saw the post.
Also If the subject line isn't of interest to me, I don't even bother to read it much less post on it.
I'd assume, on a site this large others do the same. |

| Re: I am sorry but.. I know posts get buried. So I try to help other people out. If I can find something to say even if it doesnt really help, I post to get it back up where everyone else can see it. I know the persons thread is buried when I see that they posted again and it was an automerged post.
Also I found out, you shouldnt post at certain times or no one will reply to your thread because no one is there! |
