Contacting Mods

Other than using the "report" feature on a particular post, is there a quick and easy way to contact *all* mods at the same time?

Re: Contacting Mods

I'm certain reporting posts is the quickest way, since the reported post is sent to our private e-mail. I usually know it's going to be a good day when my e-mail count in the morning hasn't changed since I signed off the night before.

Without bugging you guys by needlessly reporting a post...

I can't remember if the "report" button gives the opportunity to state the reason for the report?

Re: Contacting Mods

Yes it does.

Good reasons to report a post include:
  1. Spam
  2. Troll
  3. Behavior that otherwise violates the forum rules
Not-so-go reasons include:
  1. Disagree with the poster
  2. Too many typos or grammatical errors
Moderators cannot possibly read everything on the forum and we rely on members using the report post feature to let us know when something needs our attention.

It's like a Neighborhood Watch.

So you don't hold out much hope for your inbox having good emails that you want to read?

It could be that everyone is just overcome by Elsa's beauty and wanted to send compliments to her....since I am not aware of her having her own account to send compliments to we are left with only being able to send word through you

Re: Contacting Mods

Ron, hon, I've been a moderator and administrator of a forum before One nearly as active as DF and which gave us a *lot* of work to do (the moderating team, that is). There were also twice as many moderators there as there are here, and I was constantly busy!

I wouldn't bother y'all with something trivial. But there *are* a couple of situations that I've been keeping my eye on because they look to get out of hand soon, and it seems that you guys have backed off of them, because as you say, you can't read everything every day (and who can, with such an active forum?).

Not trying to do your job *for* you, but hoping that I can help out if the need arises, WITHOUT having to have a fancy title under my name. I don't want it :P

Re: Contacting Mods

Use the report function. If it's trivial, we'll put it on the back burner.

No offense intended, but I really don't care which members have moderated or administored or hacked into another forum. This is the only one I'm concerned with (when I'm here.)
