| Reputation I wasn't even aware this option existed until today, reading the other thread about it why don't you just remove it if it's not useful, or make it so only mods can use the rep option? I really could care less that some immature brat choses to leave me repeated negative reputation anonymously over and over again, as long as it's not going to get me banned or something. |

| Re: Reputation I only leave good feedback. I like getting nice comments or good advice etc. I do believe you can delete them if you don't want them there any more.
And it's not only the mods any one can use the reputaion button. |

| Then why start yet another thread about it? Some people may find the feature useful. If you don't, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
You are the only one who can read those comments and, if you'd rather not, you can close that part of the display in your profile. |

| Re: Reputation You can only leave reputation for someone a couple of times...I've given people good reputation points for various things and I think the third time I tried to leave someone points for something well said, I got a message basically telling me to "spread the wealth" LOL I like the idea of being able to give kudos to someone for something well said w/o cluttering a thread with a "what he/she said" post (though sometimes I do that too) |

| Re: Reputation I started the thread about it because I'm not entirely sure how it works. I know on some forums if you get X amount of negative feedback you get banned automatically? |

| Re: Reputation Other members give (or take reputation points.) Moderators don't look at them. If you are banned, it's because you've broken forum rules (usually repeatedly.)
Anyone who actually looks at their own reputation points and comments, and sees a lot of negative ones, may want to take a hard look at their own posting habits. As greys pointed out, a single member who's mad at you (or deliriously happy with you) can't just give you a whole bunch of negative or positive points, so if there's a pattern, it's coming from multiple members.
That observation isn't directed specifically to you, Annamarie, since I have no idea what kinds of points or comments might be in your control panel. |

| Re: Reputation I am slightly confused. I wasn't aware of reputation points until today. Apparently there are good points and bad points? How can you tell. I really shouldn't care but I just got a point and must admit to some curiosity. |

| Re: Reputation A negative report must always be accompanied by a written comment, so there's normally not going to be any confusion. You won't know who it came from, but there will be a link to the post in question.
If you get positive reputation points, a written comment is optional but it makes sense to include one. |

| Re: Reputation I personally get a kick out of the "immature little brats" leaving me negative rep points! lol
I find it funny,
All in all, I too like to give kudos when and where it is deserved and love the option to do so. |

| Re: Reputation Green is good, red is bad and grey could be either, but is someone who doesn't have enough reputation of their own to have any points attached to the reputation. If it's grey with no comment, it's positive feedback. |

| Re: Reputation Lorina, Thank you for explaining that. I ran into it one day and was completely unsure of what it meant. All of mine were positive but one said I was really nice but that they thought I swore in one of my posts but spelled it wrong. I looked at the post since I am not big on swearing and wanted to re-read what I wrote. I was trying to type the sound that Cesar Millan said so I put Shht. They must have thought it was a typo. LOL Oh well good to know I won't be getting kicked off for swearing when I really didn't. LOL |

| Re: Reputation mine was in regards to someone posting about veterinary care for their dog. they didn't like my post so they said I was rude. they then sent me another rude comment about the same thread, but since then there's been nothing I don't think. so maybe they reached their max of 2 comments? i think it was the OP because she didn't like my point of view. for the record the OP has never posted that she finally took her dog to the vet hehe |
