| Why is Dog Forums so popular? I'd be interested to know why Dog Forums.com is so much more popular than some of the other online dog forums like Dogsey and Dog Forum.org? What makes it so popular with people? |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? A lot of people on Dogforums.com are knowledgeable when it comes to the different breeds and health information. Most of the other dog forums that have juststarted up don't have very many members in return of not having very good information.
People that join forums usualy want fast and helpful answers to their questions. |

What do people looking for dog message boards search for? "dog forums". |

I think it's because the moderators are all VERY good looking.
And smart. |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? And modest. So very, very modest.
What I like about DF is that it's got a lot of traffic and a lot of posts, but still feels like a family. I posted on a few other dog (and cat, and all pets) forums, and felt nameless and faceless. I think here, people tend to get to know each other (or at least our dogs) better and it's more of a community. |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? Perhaps DogForums is popular because we have exceptionally beautiful dogs. People flock from around the internet and post questions just to view the lovely dogs in the avatars and signatures of those who reply!
And of course the stunning good looks of RonE |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? that's what I like to hear I've been involved in one debate I guess you could say so far, and everyone remained civil and on topic. on other forums you pretty much make a typo and 1 troll and 5 friends come along to insult you and tell you what a horrible person you are.
so thank you mods |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? I've chosen to stick around mainly because I quickly felt at home. There are several people here who I very deeply respect and admire, and most of those people have chosen to be helpful with others, including new members (like me -- ignore my post count and have a look at my registration date!).
I like the straightforward honesty of the forum members as well. If I'm doing something stupid, I want it to be pointed out to me. It might bother me at first, but it gives me an opportunity to re-assess my own judgments and mentality with regards to my dog or dogs in general. You don't get that except on the best of forums. |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? All I have to say is DF rocks! SO much info from pet lovers, and very civil. I have yet to see any major debates (knock on wood)..I came looking for some info months back, and was so happy my sanity was restored (for the most part), and my questions were answered We have a great family here and all have genuine concern for each other and our pets. PLUS you get to experience all the great humor! Who would want to miss out on that? |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? I came across DF when I was thinking about purchasing a Samoyed and typed in a question in google about them. I find this place great and I am still amazed that everyday I learn something knew from potty training to bowls to make your dog slow down his eating!!!!
I think its so popular like many have said before, you feel at home instantly and also how quick people actually reply to your queries.
I, however, find the odd time that people can jump down your throat very quick (not so much at me but other posts i have read) and sometimes I may have an answer for someone that has worked for me but I know may upset the odd few on here etc so I tend to keep it to myself for fear of being "attacked". It may only be the internet but it can still be hurtful. Nevertheless I am addicted to it and I have learnt sooooooo much, so thank you to all you have helped me get past some of the harder days with my pup. |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? It also seems like most of the members here are interested in the best interest of the dog rather than promoting their own agenda.
Of course the mods are great, spam, trolls and the like rarely stay up long enough to be seen, but the board isn't so moderated that it feels repressive. |

| Re: Why is Dog Forums so popular? Actually, it's because everyone loves Zoe and has to stick around to see pictures of her growing up.
Just kidding, of course...I never tried any of the others so I guess I just got lucky and stumbled across the best one first! |
