Exclamation My pit mix has stange bloody/cirlce mark HELP

last night my pit bull mix kept licking and biting at his chest.. When i went to examine the area it appeard to be a circle area with no hair about the size of a quarter. It was really red, bloody looking (i think the blood was from him biting at it)whitish area. I gave him a bath and he wasnt messing with it as much. Today I when i got home from work he was at it again licking it constantly. Any ideas what this could be. I heard it could be ring worm, but i looked it up and didn't see anything bout scabby outlines

Ringworm is exactly that - a perfect scabbed circle, about the size of a quarter, with a white area in the middle. Take him to the vet to be sure...if it is ringworm it is super-contagious to people and other animals. You will need to do major scrubbing and disinfecting of everything. Years ago I adopted a cat with it - a month afterwards I broke out with it. It STINKS, but is treatable with Lotrimin antifungal. And they'll probably prescribe a special shampoo for the dog.
