| I have been on vacation and just now saw this post. My basset, Daisy had a laminectomy three years ago. Continue towel walking but begin to taper off at three weeks. I also bicycled her rear legs (moving them by hand like she was pedaling a bike) 4 times a day). To this day, I do not allow her on a long flight of stairs, and she is afraid to try them in any case, so it is not something I have to manage. Daisy now runs quite well, she can climb onto a sofa to nap, but she uses a step to get down. I wish you great success, Daisy had paralysis in both rear legs, today she is 90% functional, apart from stiffness and the fact that arthritis is setting in. Daisy is nearlt ten years old. |
