Red face TPLO rehab

Does anyone have suggested rehab protocol for a dog who recently had a TPLO? My basset had the surgery 2 weeks ago and we have been towel walking since. Staples came out yesterday so we started water therapy today in a 100 gallon rubbermaid tub and a lifevest (her, not me). I am not sure when to let her walk without the towel. I know no stairs, running or jumping for at least 6 more weeks. Thanks for any imput!

I have been on vacation and just now saw this post. My basset, Daisy had a laminectomy three years ago. Continue towel walking but begin to taper off at three weeks. I also bicycled her rear legs (moving them by hand like she was pedaling a bike) 4 times a day). To this day, I do not allow her on a long flight of stairs, and she is afraid to try them in any case, so it is not something I have to manage. Daisy now runs quite well, she can climb onto a sofa to nap, but she uses a step to get down. I wish you great success, Daisy had paralysis in both rear legs, today she is 90% functional, apart from stiffness and the fact that arthritis is setting in. Daisy is nearlt ten years old.
