Weight Loss

About a month ago I had my guy weighted at the vet's office, he clocked in at 116lbs, yesterday just out of curiosity while we were at petsmart I got him on the scale and he's 112 according to that one. Now, part of it could be that the scales are not calibrated or whatever. But at 10 months I would expect to see weight gain, not loss. He's been eating ok for the most part, 5 times out of 6 he will go thru his entire bowl of kibble.

Now, on the other hand we've been having a pretty brutal heat (90F at the least), but he'd drinking plenty water.

Should I worry?

I would not worry about 4 lbs - that could simply be that the scale isn't right on. Imagine how many people a day put their dogs/cats on that scale. I wouldn't be surprised if it is 10 lbs or more off.

I would just continue to see his appetite is normal. I f he seems to be drinking more water then food and urinating more then get him to the vet. But probably it's just the scale or he's toning up from exercise.
