Loose Canine Tooth

My 5 year old lost a bottom canine tooth a few months ago after being hit by a car. Now, the canine directly above it is loose after a late night run-in with some critter in the yard. When the bottom tooth was pulled, the vet checked the surrounding teeth, and didn't find any other problems.

Will the upper tooth 'tighten up' on its own in time? If so, how long should it take?

Re: Loose Canine Tooth

It most likely won't tighten up. You need to see a vet. A loose tooth can be painful or create pockets where bacteria can cause infection.
