line on anus

I have a 2 year old boston terrier and recently he has developed a straight line/seam fron his anus downwards between his legs, it kinda looks like a healed surgical incision, he seems to be trying to itch himself more towards that area but being a boston is kinda unable to do so.
I first noticed this happening after a recent application of his monthly flea/tick treatment along his back, just an FYI if it matters.
Any ideas, thnaks

Re: line on anus

I think you should speak to your vet about it. It could be discharge staining from his anus, could be a skin infection, could be a mark from scooting because his bum is bothering him..etc.

Ok, Thnaks. I'm a new dog owner and was hoping this might have been something recognizable and did not need to waste time/trip and expense to vet over this.
