angry stomach

My chow chows both have a condition called "angry stomach". They were puking and the vet said this was the issue. Anybody ever hear of this?

Re: angry stomach

Are you sure your vet diagnosed your dogs with a condition called angry stomach? Perhaps others have heard of this but I haven't. Is it possible that your vet simply used that term to describe a legitimate condition involving GI upset? I'm always up for learning new stuff so am looking forward to hearing from others and hopefully, a bit more information from you.

Re: angry stomach

Indigestion or stomach upset for some reason? What do they eat?

Angry Stomach is not a medical term.

Re: angry stomach

If your vet is suggesting it as something nothing can be done about, I would get a second opinion.

Yea, its just what they called it at the vet. My wife took the two dogs, and they did stomach xrays and gave them some wet food for awhile, I don't know what made them sick and neither does the vet. They seem ok now, but they really puked there for awhile.

Re: angry stomach

If they were both vomiting it's likely they both got into something or had a bad reaction to the food you were feeding. Angry stomach sounds like a euphemism for indigestion. But I have to say, I would rather a vet with that many years of schooling use a more professional and descriptive term than "angry stomach".

I would also have a good look around your home and yard to see if you can figure out what they may have ingested.
