My poor lil' buddy had a rough day

Bassets are kind of known for joint issues, due to their stubby little legs.

Omar jumped off the bed today rather than using his steps. And dislocated his front left knee. Poor guy.

Took him to the animal hospital, they set his knee back, gave him Rimadyl for pain and told me to keep him peaceful. They also gave him his second round of dystemper/parvo. Poor guy is sleeping hard now.

Is it pretty normal for them to sleep like the dead after a day like that? lol. Sorry, i've just never seen him not velcro'd to me. He is out cold.

Poor guy! And these guys can't swim either which is what you usually do for dogs with knee/leg/hip injuries.

I hope he feels better soon!
