| Microchip Databases?
There are several places to register my dog's microchip. His chip is with HomeAgain, it came with a card for PetID24 and there is also a databse I use for my other dogs, PETMAXX, in addition to the Home Again and AVID databases. When my dog is scanned, what does a rescue or vet do with that information? PETMAXX is connected to 27 different databases in different countries, but my dog's will never be out of the country. Are all the databases linked to one major system or all they all independent and if my dog isn't registered with the correct database, the information is unaccessible? |
