GSP Health Problems Anyone?

Hi,

If any of you have GSP with health problems, could you explain what kind of problems, what age, what gender, and what you think caused it?

Thank you.

Re: GSP Health Problems Anyone?

Why do you want to know? Just curious...do you have one with health problems? My daughter and her husband have a beautiful female GSP, Ziggy, that is just 2 years old...they got her when she was just weaned from her mom and she has not had any health problems to date. She has pearly white teeth, beautiful lean body that's all muscle, shiny coat. She is rather large for a female GSP, too, weighing in at 60-70 lbs.!, but the vet said she's very, very healthy! She has eaten Solid Gold WolfCub as a pup and is now eating WolfKing. Nothing else. Only dry. She does get some beef ears and Merrick Texas toothpicks to chew. I believe they do give her some milkbones every now and then (I don't like this, but I'll admit it hasn't hurt her). She also has the best disposition! So friendly! She thinks she is a big lap dog haha!

* or OFA evaluation with exam performed by a Specialist

Hip Dysplasia
* OFA evaluation OR
