Any advice. |
Probably not far off.
My Hope has been having that problem, big toes and deep moist area. My vet says she has a yeast infection, and that it may have to do with allergy.
She's on drugs for it, as she got a bacterial infection in the nail bed of her dew claw too.
The vet said to soak her feet in epsom salts, but I'm not sure if that was meant for the yeast infection between her toes, or for her dewclaw.
I think I'm going to try a 50/50 vinegar and water bath between her toes once she's off the drugs if I notice her licking a lot again, that's what I do to keep her ears from getting infected.
Might want to go have the vet scrape it, look in a microscope and ID what kind of bugs are growing in there and bothering him, likely bacteria or a fungus, and treat accordingly.
