Bump on little guys neck.

Hello everyone,

My girlfriend and I are concerned and where hoping to have some input on what could possibly be on her little guys neck.

About two weeks (almost three) a small bump appeared. I don't recall there being a dark spot, mole or any preexisting skin abnormality.

It was first noticed as light red and about an 3/16" in size. It was not protruding very much.
Now it is about 1/4", red in color at the base with some dark discoloring (almost black) on top. It doesn't seem to be getting any bigger size wise, but did protrude up more than before.

Crash (little guy) doesn't seemed bothered by this and doesn't freak out when it is touched.

Doing my best to describe this and providing a couple of pictures, (photo's may bother the squeamish. sorry in advance. I'll put them down low in the post if you would like to pass on seeing them) does this seem like a wort? Or has anyone had something like this occur to there little (or big) guy? that could shed some light on what this could be?

Thank you so much in advance,
Molly and Joe

There is no way to tell. The fact that it has changed since you first noticed it makes me believe that you should get it checked by a vet. Dogs do get bumps and lumps that are harmless but you can not tell without a biopsy.

I agree a vet visit should be on the list of things to do. It is most likely a sebaceous cyst, but they can burst and get infected so best to have it checked.
