Blood in Stool

I have a puppy that is about 13 weeks old. In recent days, she has not been eating much. I detected tape worms in her stool, and took her to the Vet yesterday to get some meds for the Tapeworms. She had diarrhea last night shortly after taking the tapeworm pill, and this morning, I noticed some blood streaks on the outside of the stool.

Should I be worried? Or is this expected from the Tapeworm and the Tapeworm meds?

Re: Blood in Stool

My young adult dog had no problem with tapeworm killer. Call your vet and ask about this.

Re: Blood in Stool

It's a free call to call and ask your vet.

I don't think that is right. Blood in stool is always concerning. It's alright to call your vet and ask questions when your not sure (just like i's ok to call your doctor when your worried). I call my vet everytime I am unsure of something. They are fine with it.
