Chihuahua puppy with sensitive stomach

Cheyenne is 7 months old and generally healthy, except every once in a while(like maybe once or twice a month), she will get an upset stomach. You can hear her stomach rolling. She will not eat until she has a bowel movement, which is (forgive me for being graphic) nasty and jelly-like. Once she has her bowel movement, she is better and able to eat. How can I help her to prevent this from happening? We feed her Puppy Chow, and no people food. I am new here, so any help is very much appreciated!
