puppy injected at 5 1/2 weeks?

Most of you will have seen me on here asking questions about a silver dapple mini dashchund i am buying, I am picking her up on friday she will be 7 weeks and is eating and drinking well, but im a little confused what the injection is that she has had at 5 1/2 weeks, in the UK i thought puppys only had an injection at 9 weeks and then at 12 weeks? so im not sure what this is what she has had. Can anyone tell me what it will be for? and when i will ahve to have the other injections please?

My guess would be either you misunderstood and the pup was dewormed OR given something like a NeoPar injection (at least what it's called in the US). It's a Parvo Virus vaccine that will not help long term but has proven effective in young puppies to protect them until they are old enough to start the distemper/parvo vaccine.

I'd get the name of the injection and then call your vet to find out exactly what it is.
