new adopted dog no bowel movement since yesterday noon

I just adopted a 1 1/2 year old dog. She had pups about 8 weeks ago and is not spayed yet. She has not made a bowel movement since I brought her home. She has eaten regularly and does urinate normally. Could this be just nerves? I have not experienced this problem in all my years as a dog owner. I will be talking to my vet tomorrow, but just want some sort of understanding. Pleas help.

It could be that she's nervous. I had this problem with one of my cats when I first found him. He didn't have a bowel movement for about 2 days...I took him to the vet right away for it and nothing was found to be wrong.

The good thing is that your going to talk to a vet; it's better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck!

My dog won't go to the bathroom in an unfamiliar setting until he absolutely cannot hold it in any longer. I have no idea why he does this (maybe he has performance anxiety), but it is something I have come to realize is normal for him.
Like Mdawn said, she is probably just nervous. Once she calms down you will probably have nothing to worry about.

thanks so much... just a new mom that wants things to work out for her and our family. My other rescue had no problems. He definitely has no " performance anxiety" ha ha
