Exclamation Petsitter Mix-up: I Don't know my dog's diagnosis!

My dog is a two year old female shih tzu. I was on vacation, and the petsitter had to rush her to the animal hospital after she began to vomit foam and twitch. We believe she ate something bad or was affected by the fumigation chemicals. The Vet gave her a steroid shot and she is now being given an antibiotic every twelve hours, however, I was not informed of her diagnosis. Now she is not crying or throwing up but her breath is more rapid, and she twitches about every twenty seconds unless she is sleeping. PLEASE help me find out what my dog could possibly have, and what I could do to help!

You should be able to get that information from the vet who treated her. I would followup with your regular vet.

Go to the treating vet and talk to them (the petsitter has to tell you which vet and honestly should have given you the paperwork), they can tell you, we can't. Once you find out we MAY be able to help to at least research treatment options.
