Unhappy Distemper !
Hey everybody,
I am really new here, I have this problem and thought this was the place to ask for help.
My neighbours have a dobermann pinscher and they say he has a disease called distemper (the hind half of him is kinda paralyzed) and that I can have it if I want (I really like him and do want him), if I don't take it they will put it to sleep but my dad says he doesn't want a paralyzed dog. Does this disease have any cure ?

I am guessing this dog has Myoclonus ? And it irreversible ?

In this case probably not. The distemper has probably caused neurological damage.

And is there anything that can be done about it ?

Sometimes seizure medication is given. But you need to talk with your vet about this.
