| Yep, we vaccinate against lepto here in Miami - particularly in my area where there are alot of lakes and stagnant water. (Despite living in what sounds like the big city, I live in an area where there is alot of Agriculture and Wildlife conservation land, so there tends to be alot of opossums, raccoons, and foxes.)
The MLV strand is what is commonly used down here, if not in a lot of places. My breeder only asked that I didn't combine the Parvovirus vaccine with the Lepto because some Tollers have been known to react and shown severe cases of autoimmune disorders. It was a bit difficult to find an even holistic looking vet that wasn't too far to drive to, since many of the practices are stone-cold on DHPP vaccines that are 5 way. |
