Hi everyone- My husband and I are looking for an answer to a problem we are having with one of our toy poodles. He has been diagnosed with an extremely small liver. Now that he is older (12) it is not working well for him. The vet said it was the main vessel and the small ones leading off of it can not work efficently anymore. We have helped him survive 6 months plus. He is doing well except that every 6-7 days he has a bad day-sometimes throwing up, an or diahrea and does not want to eat. We feed him homemade food and baby food 5 times a day, he is on sulcrate and penecillian from the vet and liver aid and liver supplement from natural supplement company. HaS any one else had a similar problem. He has gained weight and is doing good except for the 7 day cycle.
