my 3 year old dog limps and favors her left leg, mainly when she gets up from a sitting/laying position. she will often hop on three legs until her leg "wakes up". the vet has taken x-rays and has ruled out a hip problem. apparently, lyme disease has also been ruled out. the vet suggested that it may be an acl injury, but she doesn't seem to be in any pain. she runs without hesitation. this has been ongoing for months now without any signs of recovery. has anybody had any experience with anything like this? we're trying to narrow it down somewhat. she is a 50lb shepherd mix. thank you for any responses in advance!
This may be a pointless response as you've already hinted at it already, but maybe he leg is simply falling asleep from the way she sits? BTW, welcome to our forum.
