Help! Dog in heat and I'm a little worried.

My dog is in heat, this is her second cycle and she has come in contact with my brothers dog. The thing that is worrying me is that her vulva seems alot more swollen this time around...can anyone explain this to me?

p.s. sorry if this thread is improper at all.

Sorry, I can't explain why her vulva is more swollen. Do you intend on taking your dog to a vet? Have you considered spaying your dog?

Yes indeed I do plan on having her spayed. Also I do plan on taking her to the vet but I was trying to get any information I could. Thank you for your help.

I too have no advice, sorry, just thought i would suggest a phone call to your vet, see if they seem equally as worried. A phone call never hurts!?!
Hopefully its nothing serious, and after her heat she can get in for a spay.
