Dog just finished Menstrual Cycle- Now I'm REALLY WORRIED

My dog just finished her menstral cycle, and now she is eatting alot more than she use too. I'm really hoping it is because she just finished and hoping that she isn't pregnant.

At her grandma's, the one who takes care of her during the day, we asked that she kept her in the cage. She has two male dogs, who are pit bull mix. My dog is little, chihuahua and maltese mix. I hope the grandkids didn't let her out. And I really hope she isn't pregnant. If she is do I need to abort the litter. And how much does that cost.

NEED HELP: CONCERNED MOM

If she is, then yes, you should do an emergency spay. The sooner the better. (Easier on her/less money/less complications).

Ck w/your vet about price.

Take her into the vet and have him see if he can tell if she is pregnant or you can just get her spayed. You should tell the vet she MAY be pregnant by a MUCH LARGER dog so, yes, you DO need her spayed RIGHT NOW.

The best course of action is to go and have her spayed IMMEADIATLY! That will end the pregnancy and take care of any furture worries.

Thank you to all that answered me. Will consider all, but I am really low on budget. I had planned to get her her first litter and this just set us so off track.

She needs to be spayed. Pit mix puppies will kill a chihuahua mom. And she should not be bred, she is a mixed breed dog. Please spay your dog. Check out low cost spay options in your area. Trust me, puppies and emergency c-sections are way more expensive than a spay.
