Is there any correlation between skunk spray and cancer?

My dog that I had to put to sleep recently (brain tumor) had been sprayed twice by skunks (about 6 months apart) about 3 years ago. A friend of mine told me he had read something once that there was a relation between skunk spray and incidents of canine cancer. Is there any truth to this? Not that it matters now, and not that I could have done anything to prevent it, but I'm just curious.

I've never heard of this and didn't see anything when I searched. Hope not, one of my dogs got sprayed twice within a four day period, guess she didn't learn her lesson.

Skunk spray is a neurotoxin, but the dog has to ingest it in VERY large quantities. So I acn see the potential for a brain tumor, but I think it's a very remote idea.
