Parasites

Hi all!! I have a concern tonight. I have a foster dog and of course my dog as well as two cats. I don't have a fenced yard so I walk my dogs 4 times a day. Today I noticed 2 little transparent things in his feces and of course my first thought is worms. When he first came to about a month ago we gave him Panacur and Flagyl we weren't very good with the daily dosing and I do admit to skipping some b/c he would refuse it. So the question now is, you think my foster dog has passed it to my dog? How did he get these worms?!?!?! I am waiting to hear from the rescue so I can take him to the vet.

Re: Parasites

Fisrt thing I would do is take a stool sample to the vet to be examined. And futher actions would depend on the fecal results.

Re: Parasites

Dogs can pick up worms from just about anywhere. Depends on the type of worms they are...best to have your vet do a fecal.
