Lab puppy muscle spasms.

I have a 3 month old Lab puppy that I have had for 2 weeks. All shots and worming have been up to date. I noticed when he is lying he has a shaking like muscle spasms in his front legs that are pretty constant. I plan on taking him to the vet next week anyway but would like to know if anyone knows what this could be.

Thanks for any help.

The vet really is the best bet to answer your questions, we don't make suggestions about a dogs health here unless the condition has already been diagnosed.

Is he sleeping when you see that? If so, it's just him sleeping

No he does it most all the time. He does it lying the most but I did notice I can feel the spasms while he is standing also. Its is constant but worse at times then not noticeable at times unless you are feeling he legs.

turns out to be distemperment, it got so bad today that I had to call the vet for an emergency service. he says its caused from poor vaccination and nothing can really be done about it but to make the animal conformable.

Oh no! Distemper is nasty . Is he staying at the vet hospital or is he at home now? If he's at home, make sure to keep him hydrated. That's a big threat with Distemper. Otherwise all you can do is wait for it to run its course, and hope he doesn't end up with lasting neurological damage. I wish him luck!

Have you called his breeder? He/she should know, in case the other pups were exposed.

Definitely let the breeder know! If he has it, others in the litter probably do too!
