| He will be fine. Probably very happy to see you as well! All vets use their own methods, but at our practice, we make an incision in the belly, along the shaft of the penis. We use dissolvable stitches. The penis, lower belly are shaved, so he may be a bit itchy till it grows back a bit. Usually, dewclaws need to be removed in the first three days of life, but since he was under anaethesia, doing it later can be done. He MAY have a stitch there, depending on a bunch of things, that wil be what bothers him the most. Thanks for microchipping him!
