I Am So Sad and Worried

I just keep coming here, but I need any little hope I can get.

My little dog has been coughing for three weeks. The vet treated her for kennel cough. At first it seemed better then Wed. night she went into reverse sneezing because of the cough. It lasted over five minutes.

Took her to vet early next am. He put her on codine. It didn't have any effect on her cough.

She is at the university now. They redid all heart and throat tests--nothing different since she got released in November. On Monday they think they will have to do that camera down the trachea. I have no other choice, but I am so afraid. They heard some crackling in the lungs, and I am hoping it is even pneumonia over cancer or collapsed trachea.

She eats well and feels fairly well. She just coughs all the time.

sorry your dogs coughing alot. i hope it gets better soon. my dog just started kennel cough treatment today also. is yours doing a almost constant cough? cuz mine is. tell me what gets yours better, maybe itll do the same for mine.

Crackling in the lungs usually indicates pneumonia. Hopefully they'll be able to figure it out, treat her and then all will be well. Sending good wishes your way from Nova Scotia!
