preg dog and jags,,,

ok before i start i know alot of people are against unplanned pregnancys,,

so i will tell all my problem/worry and please i dont want to be slated,,i just want advice,,im not 1 for unplanned pregnancys either,,

so here goes,,

i have a female lab,,which was due to be spayed last year,,she got a hair folical infection which she was on antibiotics for 2 months,,because of this she missed out on her vaccination..anyway the infection hasnt cleard up and the vet gave me choices of clearing the infection up with 2 more months of antibiotics then give her her full course of vacs,,or the vacs first then the treatment,, so i went for the vacs first,,, she is due to get the 1st on this mon then the treatment a month after that then to get spayed...

i was out with her this morning and she disapered which she never normally does,,, i went searching for her to find her 'tied' with a dog

i was mad and frustraited as she isnt due her season till march!

can any1 give me advice on what can be done with her vacs? can i go ahead with them or do i have to wait?

i am considering terminating if she is posotive and spaying her,,

i will be talking to the vet about this more on mon but as you know when something is urgent,,,2 days seem ages away,

id be gratefull for any advice

If she isn't going to be having puppies, it shouldn't matter about the vaccinations.

A dog can be spayed while in heat, it is done all the time. There is increased blood flow to the area, so the surgery might take a little longer, and the vet will probably charge an extra fee for that.

Please have her spayed, we don't need any more unwanted pups in a world already full of them.
