Frontline Plus and Iverhart Plus

Neela's flea med and heartworm med were both due today so I administered both of them this morning. The mobile vet where we purchased the meds did not say that they couldn't be used at the same time.

But now, a couple of hours afterward, Neela seems very tired. She does not seem ill or in any distress. Her breathing remains unlabored and she remains alert when she is awake.

I haven't had Neela long enough to know if this apparent fatigue is just the normal ebb and flow....or if she's reacting to one or both of the meds.

If she seemed ill/distressed, I would IMMEDIATELY take her to the vet.

Am I just being too concerned as a new pet parent?

I don't like to give both products on the same day. It's a bit rough on the system, especially for small dogs. Unless she's having an acute reaction, there's not a lot a vet can do. You just need to let the products clear her system. If she starts drooling or seems uncoordinated, you should call the vet right away.

Just so you dont panic next time, my vet always does both on the same day so as not to forget. Never had a problem.
