ok worried about HD in my 11 week puppy

Here is a list of symptoms i found on the web and frankly i have seem my puppy do each and everyone of these things at one time or another.

Also he never jumps but he is a huge puppy so i just thought that was normal..

Here is the list of symptoms i read:

http://www.go-pets.com/articles/hip_dysplasia.htm

can any of you say your puppies exhibit all these symtoms and its normal puppyhood?

He is going to the vet at 12 weeks for his vaccinations, but i could take him today at 11 weeks if you all thought it was a good idea

I don't think there's any point in taking him now if he's seeing the vet next week. This isn't an emergency, and even if he does have HD, immediate treatment is not going to make that much of a difference.

I'm not sure he's old enough for potential HD to show up in an X-ray, but you can try asking your vet to check out his hips when you take him next week.

I would also talk to your breeder. Were his parents, grandparents etc health-tested for HD?

Yes both parents have a hip score of 0 which is the best it can be in europe.

I am most concerned because when he runs fast he sort of bunny hops, i havent been around enough puppies to know how they look when they run flat out.

Do you think he could be just learning how to run and when he is going fast he moves both legs at the same time because he doesnt know different?

I would not worry too much about the bunny hopping. It's by no means a guarantee of HD. Some pups do bunny-hop and end up having hips that are perfectly fine.
