Oh Oh Becky is showing signs of being pregnant!!!

Hep!!!

As some of you may know by now, I rescued her on 30 of Nov. 2006 and she had her heat during middle of December (A vet at the shelter told us she was spayed already but he made a mistake. She wasn't) She didn't have any contact with male dogs (all my neighbors have dogs but they are all in the fence, In fact, Becky is scared to death from one of my neighbor's dog) He is big and muscular. But she changed a bit, gaining weight (I strickly go by manufacture's recommandation on the package. If I plan to give her munches while we are eating I reduce the portion of her regular meal). swallon nipples, sleeping every chance she gets, she sleeps throught the night without bothering us even these day. I don't see change of her temperament yet.

So I don't think she is pregnant but showing most of signs. What this could be?

I would appreciate any advice I get.

Sending love to all dogs and their families

First of all here where im located NO dog leaves the shelter without being fixed either male or female. You should go back to the shelter and ask about her record. I believe that shelter is very inresponsible if they made that HUGE of a mistake. You should check with them. If she is NOT fixed and has had NO contact with a male she might be going trough a "Phantom Pregnancy" thats a fake pregnancy. Their nipples will swallow with little bit of milk i believe as well.

She could be having a false pregnency. But who knows who she came in to contact with while at the shelter. Take her to your vet and get her spayed. They can do it if she is pregnent also. So no worries about that.
